I recently moved salons here in Phoenix. I found this little GEM in the heart of Arcadia and couldn't pass her up! 

I was searching for a salon with soul, and I found it.

    Holli Christensen Is the owner of Park Avenue. The salon is a part of the APS AAAME mentoring program for local small business. She was recently selected by the Phoenix Business Journal for the “Top Forty Under 40 Leaders of the Valley Class of 2011”!

Just last Friday we had an event in the salon. A client Sarah wanted to know how to use the three barrel curling iron. So I showed her. 

I colored my hair Pink and Red.  Its my Valentines hair and This is my favorite manicure latley. 

I was looking up information about my Zoom H4 recorder and I found this great video of this beautiful young lady singing Karma Police. She has more videos about the same recorder I have. She reminds me of vision, of inspriation, of people doing what they can to feel right in this world. I love doing hair but I also have a heart for audio recording. Audio is a beautiful gift we are blessed to have. We use it every time we communicate though we never reconize its exsistence. In my time I have heard that audio(sound) is touch from a distence. I totally agree with this. With that said take a listen to this woman and check out her awesome haircut - because I love it. 

p.s. she is just hillarious. 

I have had a lot of requests for a video on how I apply hair colour. The other day when my client Celena came in and said she wanted an ombre colour I jumped on the chance to make a video. She has never coloured her hair before. Needless to say, I was SO excited to get my hands into this do. 

Also this past week I cut off my client Justice's hair. We have been growing it out for YEARS! so it was fun to give her a new look. 

I cut this all with my NEW razor. I just took some Nick Arrojo cutting classes at the International Beauty Show so when Justice said she wanted a new hair cut that was shorter and modern I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to do for her.

This week I did some of my favorite manicures yet.

I was playing around with my new App. Its a Super 8 camera recorder, to help promote the movie Super 8. The movie came out in Theaters this past June. It was ok - I like the App way more than the movie!!!

This week has been busy! I have been giving bling to SO many ladies! Take a look at my Rockstar manicures. I was asked by a client this week for Rockstar French Tip. I had never done it, so why not try!? I love clients who bring me a new idea. Her name is Charity, thanks Charity you opened my service menu that much more. I showed another client the picture of Charity's nails because I was so excited how they turned out, then that client wanted French Tip Rockstar also. But this one with a little bling! So we added some diamonds. I was feeling a little left out so I added a heart diamond on my ring finger. I love making my clients feel beautiful. It's my passion, and giving them that extra bling makes it that much better!

This weekend I am off to Colorado Springs to check out the hot springs. I will let you all know how that goes. I hear they have anti aging qualities. So if I come back looking 12 I have accomplished my goal this Fourth of July. I hear the Renaissance festival is this weekend in Colorado, I am gonna hit that up too! Happy Fourth of July friends! I love my new salon, Par Exsalonce. While on my break Saturday I made a video for my salon. My favorite product in the video is the Bumble and Bumble Creme de Coco. The song I used is from a Japanese band called Pull the Bunny Ears. They are a fun band. Enjoy.

Today is my day off I am going to pick up a friend and hit up some ice cream.

While I was in Las Vegas at the International Beauty Show a photographer from Tyra Bank's new fashion and beauty website, TypeF.com, took a photo of me. I will be featured on her website this month. I don't know about you, but I think that Tyra Banks is beautiful and crazy! The good kinda of crazy. Totally entertaining. One of my favorite shows to watch with my ladies is America's Next Top Model, the make over episodes. Guilty as charged! I won't lie, we can watch hours of it. I think it's the change factor.

In the clip for America's Next Top Model they go to a Sally Hershberger Salon. I love Sally Hershberger's cuts. I'm not such a fan of her product, but the way she cuts is amazing!

On day Three I went to another Arrojo cutting class and a wonderful marketing class by Gordon Miller. Gordon Miller is the 'One Man Band Leader at Social Beauty'. His class showed me how to use Facebook the right way. He had the quote above in his presentation, I wanted to share it with you all. Also I got new glasses and cut my hair! What do you think?

Over all this trip was a success! I gained new tools, new techniques and met some new friends. I love love my industry.
